Band saws are used for such heavy work as ripping logs into boards and cutting very thick wood. Low-speed fastening is possible on some tools that allow the operator to adjust the tool speed, and a soft start on some models allows low-speed thread engagement. Electric screwdrivers have a more limited range of clutch and torque options than pneumatic screwdrivers. Always make sure you've got the router set up correctly by making a test cut.
